Booklet was created as a handout at a workshop presented at IDEX 2009 and was based on fitting and pattern creation (using a human pattern instruction sheet pattern pictures) lessons used by my Creating Patterns for BJDs Yahoo Group. Booklet is 59 pages & includes numerous pictures, a blank measurement sheet as well as measurement charts for 8 different MSD size dolls and 8 different SD size doll. Contents of booklet includes: measuring the doll; analyzing body shape; slopers (what are they & how are they used); pattern origins; understanding ease (fitting & design); how to measure the pattern; formula for enlarging/shrinking a pattern; creating a pattern for a small-busted MSD doll - Narae (from people pattern instruction sheet); creating a pattern for a large-busted SD doll - Elfdoll Ruru - showing a full-bust alteration to bodice (from people pattern instruction sheet); construction instructions for a lined, sheath dress; sources (books, etc.); blank measurement sheet; measurements for 8 different MSD and SD size dolls. | Sweaters-To-Sew BJDs -- How to make doll sweaters from socks (booklet) ----- Order #BJD Sweater Booklet (see pricing below). Booklet was prepared and given to participants in a workshop at IDEX 2009. Booklet contains information that includes choosing the right socks for a particular size doll, ribbing choices, lining - fabrics and how to line the sweaters (and why), and how to lay out the pattern pieces on a sock (some diagrams included). A simple pattern is included in both MSD and SD size. Several pictures are included in this version to show the variety of sweaters, ribbings and trims that can be utilized. This booklet is meant to be a companion to my sock sweater patterns and only includes the pattern mentioned above (sample can be seen if you click on the picture to the left).
